BidMe.Run is a space where running collides.
It collides with all the deep, nuanced, integrated, and holistic -some might even say spiritual- realities of our lives.
This community of runners - ranging from the elite to the mid or back packer, from turkey trotters to ultra runners - is united by our conviction that running is more.
It is more than just a workout.
We want to explore the more.
Or, as William Shakespeare wrote in the passage where we found the name, “Bid me Run,” we want to “strive with things impossible.” We would love to have you come and strive with us.
Zane Grey Race Report
We FINALLY got ourselves together enough to catch up on Gary and Joey’s experiences at the Zane Grey 50! With Gary in a new job, and Karl in a new role, and with Joey’s usually busy life, it’s been tough to record! But, we finally sat down to discuss the goings on at the 2019 […]
Gary on the West Highland Way
This “supplemental” is a fun one! I was recently a guest on the West Highland Way Race podcast, and they’ve agreed to let us repost that interview here! The West Highland Way is a 95 mile footpath in Scotland, with about 13,000’ of vert, that runs from just outside of Glasgow, north and west to […]
“Normal people don’t eat breakfast at 7:00am!”When our guest, Sabrina Little, said this with a fierce tone in her voice, she was revealing her “largely spartan” lifestyle. For Sabrina, most of her miles come before the sun rises and if you haven’t worked out, ate breakfast, and left for a day of work before 7am, […]
D-Bo and Harm-O
NOTE: While this episode can definitely stand alone, it is in many ways a “part 2” to Episode 5. In that previous episode, Dylan and Harmony Bowman share insights into their lives, their relationship, their running, and also their struggles with health issues…both mental and physical. That episode marks Harmony’s first time on a podcast, […]
D-Bo and Harm-O
Where do you go when your training falls apart? We’re not talking about physically going somewhere. Where do you go in your heart or your head or your relationships when injury or illness or the unexpected sets you back? That’s the question we are exploring in this conversation with Dylan Bowman, aka D-Bo, and Harm-O, […]
37 Seconds of Good, Part 2
This is part 2 of our conversation with dear friend, Ben Dicke. Below are all of the same notes from Episode 1, because, well, they still apply! There are new pics, though! Hello, Dear Listener, I (Gary) have a confession...on most podcasts, if I don’t recognize the guest name, I skip that episode. So, if […]
