► Episode Notes:

Who’s been indulging in some 4am Bluey? Find out on this week’s PlayingFTSE Show!

Steve and Steve are talking about earnings this week. But before we do that, we have a link from our latest friends at Finchat.io.

Steve W burned through all of his free questions doing research this week, so a discount on a subscription might be handy. If you’d like one, too, check out our link!

Shares in Apple have gone racing higher this week as the company announced its latest earnings report. It was bad, but the main theme for investors is the news it wasn’t worse.

Services revenue reached record highs and this propped up margins after product sales fell. But this can’t go on forever – so what’s on the cards for the company?

Amazon stock got a bit of a boost after its earnings this week. Higher revenue was turbocharged by wider margins to send earnings per share soaring.

The business is firing on most cylinders, but is the stock a buy? Steve and Steve give their views on the subject.

We don’t talk about MasterCard often on the PlayingFTSE podcast, but we probably should. It’s a terrific business with a huge moat and massive returns on invested capital.

Steve D’s been looking into the latest earnings. Is this the one that got away for both Steves, or could there still be an opportunity even at today’s prices?

MercadoLibre shares jumped 8% after earnings this week. A weak performance in Argentina was more than offset by strong growth in Brazil and Mexico.

The stock looks like a bargain at around 15 times free cash flow. But Steve W thinks this is a highly misleading statistic…

Starbucks has been struggling with getting people through the door, especially in China. There’s nothing unusual about that, but the stock still fell sharply.

Is a triple-shot-double-pump strategy the right way to go? Or is it the most ridiculous thing we’ve ever discussed?

Only on the PlayingFTSE Podcast!
