Stephen Drill's year-long investigation lifts the lid on how bikie gangs are controlling crime in Australia, and how they have changed in the last few years. Fascinating Premise, Over Reliant on Cop Perspective
Premise is really interesting. Aside from an occasional aside to human rights concerns and law enforcement overreach, the podcast almost completely and sympathetically relies on the perspective of law enforcement. LE officers have an incentive to overstate the threat of drugs, bikies, and other things that go bump in the night to bump their own budgets. Pretty fawning mirroring of whatever the coppers say. I have no love for “the baddies” in this case, but try harder to flesh this story out.
