Going forward we are doing nothing but Facebook Live/Zoom watch parties of stuff we make fun of. Here’s our first one.

Quar! What is it good for? Absolutely wildcat strikin’, say it again. feat. Priscilla Grim from CoronaStrike

Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, there have been over 160 wildcat strikes across the country and 190,000 rent-strikers – not that you would know that based on the meager coverage they receive. This week, Q talked with Priscilla Grim from CoronaStrike, a platform calling for workers, renters, prisoners, detainees and others to come together at a level of cooperation unseen in our lifetime to make a healthier, regenerative and just future for all our people, through a People’s Strike.

We talked about how this crisis could create unforeseen opportunities to build solidarity, what a successful rent strike would look like, and how we can make it happen.

You can follow Priscilla on Twitter @PriscillaGrim and stay up to date or get involved with CoronaStrike by following them @corona_strike or visiting coronastrike.us.

Embracing Obama’s Legacy as a Bad U.S. President + A Failure to Communicate

Embracing Obama’s Legacy as a Bad U.S. President + A Failure to Communicate

A rare daytime recording between Dem Boyz. We catch up and look back at Obama’s legacy through the lens of recent revelations in the New York Times and Politico that he worked to undermine the progressive/socialist side of the Democratic Primary.

We also (kind of?) debunk the allegations against Tara Reade (not Tara Reid) being untrustworthy because of a Dr. Phil appearance that wasn’t actually Tara Reade (it also wasn’t the other Tara Reid).

Information, interesting, and diverse stories!

I love that this podcast will take apart one key story from the day’s news and talk to the journalists who worked on that story. You get to hear behind the scenes drama, recorded interviews with key players, and always accompanied with some historical context.

Go to morning podcast

Sure, this podcast skews left but the information is valuable and educational. As long as you take it with a grain of salt you’ll enjoy it and grow your knowledge base.

Almost perfect...

This is my go-to podcast every morning. Please note the primary purpose of this is not a digest format, but a more investigative look into a current topic. It helps me learn not just about a current news story, but the history of the story as well.
