The Borror Laboratory of Bioacoustics at The Ohio State University houses the second largest archive of animal sound recordings in the country. It was started in 1948 by Dr. Donald J. Borror, OSU professor of Entomology and Zoology. The collection contains over 34,000 recordings of animals, with an extensive database of associated data about the recordings.
