HUB 384: AUTHOR PANEL - Jan Raeder, John Saunders, and Marva Bailer

Welcome to another author panel for my rebranded podcast, the Biz Book Publishing Hub! These authors participated in one of my Kindle Cross-Promotion campaigns, in which business authors lowered their Kindle book prices to 99 cents or $1.99. I organize these twice a year around Amazon Prime Days and Black Friday. 100+ authors work collaboratively to spread the word and boost book sales. Each time, dozens of books reach #1 Best Seller in at least one category, and 7 out of 10 books reach the Top 10 for at least one category.  It’s been a great way to generate interest in evergreen books published many years earlier and celebrate recent publications. The best part is that our collaboration doesn’t end when the campaign is over. Nearly every author opted to sign up for an author panel after the event. These panel discussions focus on the ROI of publishing a business book. With me today are three authors: Jan Raeder authored “Strive for M.O.R.E.: What Wellbeing Really Means & How You Can Achieve It.” John Saunders wrote “The Optimizer: Building and Leading a Team of Serial Innovators.”  Marva Bailer is the author of “Be Unexpected: Resetting Routines to Revolutionize the Future of Work.” Please join me in welcoming Jan, John, and Marva. In this episode, we discuss: 📚 Shifted Perspective on Publishing: Robbie Samuels explains why he views publication day not as a campaign deadline but as the latest day to start marketing. 📚 Expanding Horizons: John Saunders realized his book would benefit a wider audience beyond financial services. His adaptability led to engagements in unexpected industries like healthcare. 📚 Independent Journey: Marva Bailer transitioned smoothly to entrepreneurship after corporate life, shedding light on balancing the diverse responsibilities that come with it. 📚 Holistic Approach: Jan Raeder emphasizes the importance of integrating one's career with personal life for authenticity, breaking down her detailed self-publishing process. Why listen? 🎧 Entrepreneurial Efforts: Discover how Robbie Samuels helps entrepreneurs pilot their projects and research calls, creating revenue opportunities beyond a book. 🎧 Broader Applicability: Tune in to learn how John Saunders' book has grown to serve various industries, proving the importance of flexibility and continuous learning. 🎧 Balanced Approach: Gain insights from Marva Bailer's journey of juggling different entrepreneurial tasks and mastering the myriad aspects of running a business. 🎧 Self-Publishing Insights: Jan Raeder's extensive research and detailed conversations are a goldmine for aspiring authors, emphasizing teamwork even in self-publishing. HUB 383: AUTHOR PANEL - Cornelia Kawann, Jenn Grace, and Tom Collins

Welcome to the first author panel for my rebranded podcast, the Biz Book Publishing Hub! I’m thrilled by the results from my last Kindle Cross-Promotion Campaign around Amazon Prime Days. 77 business books from 70 authors were lowered to 99 cents or $1.99.  We worked collaboratively to spread the word and were able to boost book sales. 70% reached the Top 10 in at least one category, and 30% reached #1 Best Seller in at least one category. Before the campaign began, I took screenshots of my books’ sales rankings. I was amazed that one of my books went from #466,306 to #27,638, and another went from #227,051 to #14,600. This is further proof that our efforts led to sales. The best part is that our collaboration hasn’t ended. Nearly every Amazon Prime Days Kindle Cross-Promotion Campaign author opted to sign up for an author panel after the event. These panel discussions focus on the ROI of publishing a business book. With me today are three authors: Jenn T. Grace, author of “Publish Your Purpose: A Step-By-Step Guide to Write, Publish, and Grow Your Big Idea” - she’s also a publisher and one of the Biz Book Publishing Hub Founding Partners. Cornelia Kawann, author of “Change Your Energy - Change Your Life” Tom Collins, co-author of “I Am Perfectly Flawsome: How Embracing Imperfection Makes Us Better” All three books reached #1 Best Seller during the campaign. Well done. Please join me in welcoming Jenn, Cornelia, and Tom. In this episode, our panel discusses: 📚 Endorsements for Authors: Jenn T. Grace emphasizes the power of quality endorsements from notable individuals and how just ten can make a significant impact. 🤔 Challenges with Endorsements: Cornelia Kawann shares the hurdles authors face in securing endorsements and reviews, especially from busy, notable figures. 📈 Effective Marketing Strategies: Jenn T. Grace highlights the impact of platforms like Bookbub and KDP Select on Amazon, while Cornelia Kawann discusses the benefits of podcast appearances in boosting book sales and invitations. 🔧 Tools and Services: Tom Collins reveals how hiring experts, targeted promotions, and tools like download pages can elevate your book's visibility and sales rankings.
