Matthew Hepler is an environmental scientist with Appalachian Voices, a non-profit organization focused broadly on community and environmental health and the shift from fossil fuels to sustainable energy in the Appalachian region. Matt and I talk about mountain-top removal mining (MTR), its effects on the health of the region and go into depth about the work that's being done to ensure the health of Appalachian communities and environments.
