Origins
It’s the eve of the first ever Bloodthirsty Hearts convention; an event Susu and Erin have been dreaming of for years. But Erin no longer wants to go, having just learned of her parents’ impending divorce. Not one to take no for an answer, Susu devises a way to change Erin’s mind by persuading their former best friends – Blake, Deni and Joy – to come along for a trip down memory lane. Meanwhile, something truly nightmarish is developing…

The Suckening
All hell breaks loose as supervillain Xafaros and Strigalas descend upon the convention, attacking superfans. Amidst the chaos, the girls must find a way out of the venue. Reaching a CCTV control room, they get a glimpse of the carnage both inside and outside the Coliseum. The entire city of Cleveland has gone dark. Susu, Erin, Blake, Deni, and Joy are on their own.

Order of the Army of the Darkness
Using their extensive Bloodthirsty Hearts knowledge, the girls try to come up with an escape plan. On their way out, they run into Henley Hawkins, star of the movie franchise, who’s managed to survive up to this point. But Susu’s plan hits a snag as they walk right into an area infested with Strigalas. Henley tries to save himself while the girls manage to escape, only not unscathed…

Blood Moon Rising
Panic sets in as the girls try to remember the anti-Strigala serum to reverse Deni’s bite. Without it she will become one. They know it’s a blend of something, something, and virgin tears. But with tensions high, the girls start to argue, and they are soon ambushed again by Strigalas. Joy and Erin pull Deni in one direction while Susu and Blake go in another.

Half-Blood Ghost
Blake and Susu find a way out of the Coliseum and realize there’s only one person who can help them: Bloodthirsty Hearts novelist Agnes Lipa. Agnes could help them save Deni’s life but also defeat Xafaros and the Strigalas once and for all. Meanwhile as Joy, Erin and a semi-lucid Deni helplessly hide out in a concession stand, in moseys an oddly chill Timofey Kent who agrees to help them escape.

Fun easy listen
A bit a ride down a memory lane of cringe for most former fangirls. It’s fun, well acted, and honestly does a good job balancing pleasant nostalgia and reminding you of your own hormonal behavior if you’re older. The mortal danger is really just a backdrop for the teens and their relationship.
As always it’s well produced and edited from Q Code.
Vampires meets Stranger Things
This series was so much fun! I finished it in a single day on a road trip. The characters were relatable (even for a guy), great action, funny, and ended on a great note! I wouldn’t mind a season 2 but I think this stands well on its own! What a great story!
