    186. Serial Killer Rattlesnake James, with Cambo from True Crime Island

In this special crossover episode of Bloody Murder and True Crime Island, we discuss Serial Killer Rattlesnake James.
Half assed conman and serial killer Robert S. James gained infamy when he tried to murder his fifth wife Mary by putting her leg into a box of rattlesnakes. When she failed to die in a timely enough fashion, he drowned her in the bathtub and tried to cash in her life insurance policy.
Insurance investigators discovered his third wife Winona had also died by drowning shortly after marrying him and taking out a large insurance policy. His nephew had met an untimely end in a suspicious fashion too and the less said about what he got up to with his 18 year old niece, the better.
Aussie As: Two Western Australian mates get swept out to sea while drifting on an inflatable mattress on the ocean and drinking an esky full of beer.

    185. Lyvette cried “No more!”

    185. Lyvette cried “No more!”

In honour of International Women's Day - March 8th 2021.
Mayor of Bell Gardens California, Daniel Crespo Snr abused his wife Lyvette for 28 years. He also threatened those he worked with in the council and had a secretary fired for not sleeping with him.
On September 30th, 2014, while beating Lyvette, he turned his violent rage toward their teenage son when he tried to intervene. Crespo punched his son in the face so hard he fell down the stairs. What happened next was an unusual ending to a horribly common situation.
TCNT: Doug Coster wrote to us about the Investigation Discovery Channel show Dead North.
Aussie As: A pair of drunk knuckleheads rob a Northern Territory store of two VB six packs.

    183. Homicidal Tantrum - The ESL Mass Shooting

In 1984, Richard Farley met new co-worker Laura Black at the Sunnyvale, California office of their employer ESL. He was instantly attracted to Laura and asked her out on numerous occasions but she politely refused his advances. Unwilling to take no for an answer, Farley proceeded to stalk Laura relentlessly.
After four years of Farley's constant harassment, Laura saw no option but to take out a temporary restraining order against him. A court date was set for February 17th, 1988 to make the order permanent. On February 16th, Richard Farley went on a shooting spree at ESL, murdering seven people and wounding four others.

    182. Angel of Death - Dulcie Markham - Part Two

    182. Angel of Death - Dulcie Markham - Part Two

This is the conclusion of our two part special on Angel of Death - Dulcie Markham. If you haven't listened to part one, and you want any of this to make sense, we recommend you listen to it first.
Murder adjacent Dulcie Markham was the darling of the Australian underworld, known as Pretty Dulcie and Dainty Dulcie, she also became known in the media as The Angel of Death and The Black Widow.
As the years went by Dulcie lost more of her boyfriends and husbands to shootings and stabbings. Dulcie definitely had a type and it was only a matter of time before she, herself would be targeted. In the end ‘Australia’s most beautiful bad woman’ had to find an escape from this cycle of violence.
TCNT: Leah Heinrich tells us about the documentary "Seduced"
Aussie As: A man-bun wearing "rouge pooer" pursues a smear campaign against a Northern Territory Resident.

Hey baby!

Love it!!

One of my favorite podcasts! Interesting topics but also hilarious and compassionate

brainzmatter ,

Maybe it’s an age thing…

… but while I love humour, even dark humour, said humour has to actually be funny—not just a bunch of foul-for-no-reason-cussing. The so-called “banter” lacks spontaneity and seems forced in places. The woman is just plain GROSS. I listened to the one about the Neo Nazi and the way the parent’s comments were voiced was not only not funny, but crass and patronizing. Families of perps suffer as well as families of victims—though I’m not running a suffering contest. What is the motive for reading these people’s comments from the NYT in silly, cartoonish voices? Also, intro, breaks and banter take way too much time. The crime seems almost a footnote to these two and their mediocre humour. I won’t be subscribing or “following” as it’s now called
I don’t know what to say about the rave reviews of this garbage and can only think these listeners are about 12 and spend most of their time drunk.
