This podcast covered the hit(?) FX show "The Strain". A panel of Philly comedians, including Mike Marbach, David Donnella, Rob Alesiani and other guests, recap, theorize, and crack wise along the way. This podcast does not take itself or the show too seriously. We were very critical, especially as the show began to fall apart (surprisingly quickly), but did not miss opportunities to praise the show when good choices were made. We made a vow to see it through and we did.

Bloody Sunday S04E03-04: Six Left
This episode of Bloody Sunday covers season 4 episodes 3 and 4 of The Strain. Not much movement in two episodes. Basically still looking for a bomb, trying to poison blood, and harvest babies for some reason. Another set of episodes with very little to no movement or Abe. Even he’s tired of this show.

Bloody Sunday S04E01/E02: Back Inaction
This episode of Bloody Sunday covers season four episode 1 and 2 of the Strain titled “The Worm Turns” and “The Blood Tax” respectively. We check in a few months (years?) after season 3 when an atomic bomb was set off in New York by a punk kid. The punk kid is now being prepared to house the Master. Eph is putzing around Philly. Dutch is at some baby factory for strigs. Abe is apparently still caught. Gus is in the business of locating things from time to time. Fet is in Trump country looking for a bomb. Against our better judgment we are back covering this show. It has not improved, but the podcast remains fun to do. Hopefully you enjoy it.

Bloody Sunday S03E10: The Winds of Nuclear Winter
This episode of Bloody Sunday covers Season 3 Episode 10 of The Strain titled “The Fall”. This is it. The third season finale. Who would have thought we’d make it this far, let alone have another season to come… but here we are. This was a pretty decent episode of the show and one of the better finales to a season of the three we’ve seen. We lost Kelly again, but beyond that the core is still in tact. Including the Master who once again escapes not just the sword and the sea, but ends up being freed by a NUCLEAR BOMB. The second to go off in a few weeks on this show. It’s kind of out of control. I cannot promise we will be back in this off season for any reason whatsoever, but we will be back to cover what will hopefully be an even shorter 4th season. Thank you David, Rob, Joe and Jolie for the laughs this season and to all who put up with us talking about this show.

Bloody Sunday S03E09: Thinning The Herd
This episode of Bloody Sunday covers Season 3 Episode 9 of The Straing titled “Do or Die”. In what is probably the best episode in season for this show (again, not saying much) we see some real plot progression and the loss of a couple big characters. We have one episode left in this shortened third season. Thanks to David, Rob and Jolie for the laughs.

To steal a phrase from Patton Oswald, you guys sound like you have been rubbed with sad ham. Hang in there! The terribleness literally cannot go on forever. And, once Setrakian get ambulatory (maybe), the pace might pick up. Nah, who am I kidding.

Whether you love, hate, or hate to love The Strain, this podcast is worth your time. The cartoonish yet on-point impressions will have you laughing along with the Bloody Sunday crew, as they nobly suffer through the task of recapping a series that somehow manages to be both mediocre and infuriating.
Best thing about The Strain
This podcast is the best thing about The Strain and the only reason I keep watching it. These guys are hilarious while providing lots of insight into the entertainment industry, story development, acting, and writing. I look forward to this podcast every week.
