This week the Senate has two huge jobs, hold an impeachment trial and pass life saving disaster relief for Americans suffering from coronavirus and its effects on the economic, social and health being unfairly born by the working/middle class.
The Democrats are demanding Trump be held accountable for trying to overturn a free and fair election and working to pass Biden's relief package while Republicans are left trying to ignore a violent and murderous attack on the Capitol while refusing to vote for any immediate aid claiming more time is needed to determine the necessity.

Trump's self-defense is exactly that, a defense only about him that blames the insurgents who failed to give him an illegal win  while ripping the GOP into one pro-business side and one that is an openly pro-fascist faction.

Media outlets major and minor are wasting valuable print space and airtime by filling the void left by the social media denied former President with the even dumber ramblings of a wrong headed right wing big mouthed dimwit.

Meanwhile Biden is marching forward, law suits are taking down some evil players and real progress is peeking over the near horizon.  That's what this podcast is about.

House GOP(minority) leader Qevin McQarthy is accusing Biden of not being bipartisan or trying for unity because he has to get the focus off the QAnon faction taking over the business friendly QOP, er GOP.  Meanwhile Biden is full steam ahead.

In Music History News we remember the 2007 Super Bowl halftime show.

Once you accept the fact that the problems we are now facing cannot be solved looking back 10 or 12 years to the last Great Recession, the easier it is to see the real clear path forward.  Biden gets it.  He's treating it like the disaster it is.

On this date in 1959 the newly born ear of Rock 'n Roll was dealt a triple disaster with a plane crash due to a snow storm in Iowa.

Not even 2 weeks into Biden's first term we've been bombarded with government and most of it is really good. But few have had time to scrutinize all these actions, so we take a look at some of the less meaty ones.

In music history it's Del McCoury's 82 birthday and in 1972 on the date Neil Young released, in his words, the middle of the road "Harvest" Album.

We end our look at 4 new progressive members to Congress with Mondaire Jones of NY's 17th district. Jones, who worked in Obama's DoJ, made waves last summer when he successfully sued the former President and current Postmaster General.

Jone's penchant for democracy reforms and universal voting will be a major focus along with representing his constituency.

Currently Jones and Rep. Ted Lieu are working to get Rudy Giuliani  license to practice law removed by the NY Bar.
In music history, today marks the anniversary of Bob Dylan's 1961 visit to Woody Guthrie.
