BONUS - FOUR SHORTS by Garry Lee Posey LIGHTS UP!

    • Performing Arts

For several years, Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga presented a series of original works written by local playwrights conceived by and performed in front pieces of art at the Hunter Museum of American Art.  We called this performance CASTING THE CANVAS.  "It was an experiment of mixing mediums in an effort to showcase how the different ways individuals can experience visual art.  Our writers included established playwrights, novice playwrights, fiction writers and willing enthusiasts with no prior writing experience."
Six to Eight scripts were curated, rehearsed and performed throughout the museum.  A guide would lead the audiences to each of the galleries housing the art where the play would be performed with the art creating the backdrop.  Three of the four plays in this series by playwright Garry were included in various Casting the Canvas events, they are:
FUGUE IN D
