(Replay) Robin Benedict 1983-Tufts Professor William Douglas was obsessed with a young women, It ended in murder

This case is one of a handful of cases that changed how police view street level victims of violent crime. Robin Benedict's fall from a normal life to a prostitute in Boston's combat zone, the city's red light district, was very quick. William Douglas was straight out of central casting for a nerdy professor. The balding, paunchy professor, fell in love with beautiful Robin Benedict. Streetwise Robin played this "John" for a sucker, however William Douglas didn't care. He embezzled $67,000 from Tufts University and Robin took every dime. Douglas just wanted Robin and when his stalking became too much for Robin to take.  She wanted to break the relationship off, William responded by striking Robin in the head with a hammer multiple times. He confessed just before trial and only served nine years in prison before his release. A tragedy all around. Tune in and please give us a share if possible!

Keith Luke 2009-A lunatic who carved a swastika into his forehead, went on a rampage that left two dead and one raped and shot

Keith Luke 22, appears to be a somewhat conflicted white supremacist, he claimed to have committed this murderous act over racial animosity, however in the days before this madness, he tried, persistently to date at least two women of color. His racism seemed to be a symptom of him being an "incel", involuntary celibate. He had approached three women at a Planet Fitness in Brockton and basically asked to be in an immediate relationship with Selma Goncalves, she naturally rebuffed this hulking mess. Days later Keith Luke broke into Selma's home and brutalized her roommate, eventually shooting her multiple times, Selma returned during this nightmare, she wouldn't survive.  During the legal process it became clear that Luke, had been a lifelong schizophrenic, who saved and consumed his own urine. Clark Rockefeller Part 2-Clark is arrested for kidnapping his 7yr old girl, he'd soon be indicted for murder

Clark Rockefeller Part 2-Clark is arrested for kidnapping his 7yr old girl, he'd soon be indicted for murder

Clark kidnapped his child and fled to NYC, despite just settling his divorce, with an $800,000 settlement.  About a week later Clark was captured in Baltimore. He was ultimately convicted but received a gift of a prison sentence. Clark was under investigation for a double homicide for the disappearance and murder of Clark's landlord(s), the landlord's wife has never been recovered. Turns out Jonathan Sohus was asking some uncomfortable questions in regard to "Clark's" identity and income. This story seems like fiction, halfway through you'll wish it were! Clark would likely have never been arrested for homicide if, it wasn't for his kidnapping arrest. I guess winning the long con game wasn't enough. Please share this episode.

Clark Rockefeller Part 1-Clark seemed to be living the life of, well a Rockefeller...but he wasn't

Clark Rockefeller played the part of a member of the Rockefeller family. He was living in a famous apartment building in Manhattan, he met a pretty investment banker in the 1990's. She seemed to be totally in love with Clark, but when they wed, none of his famous family were present. Clark and Sandra Boss were wed in 1995 and life was good, she was making $40,000 a week. Clark was unmotivated to work, he said holding a job was beneath a "Rockefeller". The marriage produced a beautiful little girl "Snooks". The marriage did go south soon thereafter. Sandra's divorce attorney's could not ascertain a true identity for Clark, however things would get worse. During a supervised visit in Boston, Clark kidnapped his daughter and all hell broke loose. Shawn Clark 2013-A true whodunnit on Boston's North Shore, a $60,000 reward is active in this case!

Shawn Clark 2013-A true whodunnit on Boston's North Shore, a $60,000 reward is active in this case!

Shawn Clark served two tours in Iraq as a US Marine, he survived Iraq, but met a horrible end in scenic Malden, Massachusetts in the middle of the afternoon. The Malden Police say they've made progress and they don't see the Clark case as being  a "cold case". But they aren't revealing much more. At least two African American men 20-30, entered Scott's skateboard business located on Main Street, Malden at 12:30pm and tried to rob the business, Shawn Clark fought, he fought like a Marine and the assailants ended up shooting Shawn multiple times. He died a short time later. The public expected a quick arrest, however a decade has past with no arrests. Shawn was actually filling in for a sick employee on the day of the murder, could there be more to this case, then meets the eye? There is a $60,000 reward in this case. If you have ANY information on this case please call the Massachusetts State Police at 781-897-6600 or Malden Police at 781-397-7171. This case can be solved!

IFForever ,

Great host with a fabulous Boston accent!

I just stumbled on this podcast and I absolutely love the host’s style of storytelling. You feel like your best friend is talking to you. I grew up in Wayland MA. So all of these stories hit home to me especially the one about the Sarah Pryor case, so sad but great coverage.

Love the podcast. Keep up the great work! I’m actually new to the private investigator field, having just got my license for both Mass. and CT about 6 months ago. Anyway, I look forward to listening to future episodes!

Absolutely amazing!¡

This is the very first podcast I have ever listen to and absolutely intrigued by it! I am moving to Massachusetts and wanted to learn more about MA. This is the perfect mix of Barry’s straightforward approach and true crime! Wish I had found this at the beginning of my nursing school program, this has become an essential study tool for me! This is absolutely amazing!¡
