    Inner Exploration With Evan Soroka

On this season 3 finale of the podcast, I sit down with Evan Soroka. Simply put, Evan is a bright soul in the darkness that we are all experiencing right now. In this conversation, Evan shares details of her early childhood in NYC and how her family moved to Colorado so her dad can follow a passion for a creative life. She talks about the beginnings of her life with type 1 diabetes during a 24 hour wilderness survival experience, and how yoga ultimately entered the picture and changed her life. Evan is fascinated with exploration, internal and external, and we go deep in this conversation. We discuss the intricacies and interconnectedness of yoga therapy, the breath, and the mind. We talk about Evan’s definition of the meaning of life and the importance of not wasting our one beautiful opportunity to make the most of our time on this planet.

No Excuses With Derrick Coleman, Jr.

No Excuses With Derrick Coleman, Jr.

On this episode of the podcast, I sit down with NFL fullback and Super Bowl Champion Derrick Coleman, Jr. If you’re not familiar with Derrick, he is the first deaf offensive player in the history of the National Football League. This conversation explores Derrick’s life growing up with significant hearing loss and the challenges he faced as a result. But one of the most impressive aspects of his story, is the fact that he never used those challenges as excuses. Derrick went on to play football at UCLA and then fought his way into the NFL, ultimately playing for Coach Pete Carroll and alongside Russell Wilson to bring the Super Bowl Championship to the Seattle Seahawks. Derrick and I talk about mindset, perseverance and the work he continues to do to encourage young people with hearing loss to reach for their goals despite what some might view as a disability.

Natalie Balmain

Just listened to this ep from 2017. I found it from Google searching more info on her because she’s so intriguing. Actually, for years I’ve been following her brother, Casey Rain, who is a massive influencer in our Prince community. He’s a great guy too so it runs in the family.
Craig, your interview was very informative, thought provoking, engaging, respectful & kind. I’m not a diabetic but surely have great compassion for all of you who are. Thank you for the time you expended in this show. I learned a lot about Natalie, her incredible journey, the diabetic community & the great need for more essential research on a cure.
Until then, Godspeed on your journey of providing the nations with vital information on this special topic & being available with your valuable schedule.

Interesting, informative and easy to understand

I just finished listening to your latest interview (first one I’ve heard) with Dr Lampert and I found it super interesting so thanks! My husband has just been diagnosed with T1D about 3 weeks ago, and this morning had a trial CGM inserted for a week, so knowing other people’s experiences is really informative and comforting.
We are learning very quickly about something we had no clue about less than a month ago so it’s a steep learning curve, but it’s reassuring to know there are people like you spreading research and information far and wide!
Thanks for your podcast, I’m going to definitely listen to more on my walks to and from work from now onwards!!

Get to it already

My available listening time is limited so I don’t have 30 minutes per episode for irrelevant yada yada. Some good information when they finally get to it.( Ie skip the first 35 minutes of 047 Heather Lampert’s interview If you don’t care about her childhood stuffed animals and honeymoon stories). I pretty much skip the first 30 minutes of every episode to get to the helpful stuff.
