Breaking the Cycle - Understanding and Preventing Abusive Relationships | Season 4 | Episode 4 Real Love Real Talk

    • Relationships

Today we will be talking about the abusive v unhealthy relationship and how it can have a hold on you for example your physical and emotional health, victims of physical and emotional abuse often come across physical injuries, stress related illnesses, they might also suffer from anxiety and low self-esteem.
Social isolation is also a big red flag because the abusers try to isolate their victims from friends and family which soon enough will make it difficult for the victim to seek support or an escape from a very help-seeking situation which will also make the victim feel very lonely which will give them no other option but to put up with the abuse. Children who are normally being put in the middle of situations like this or even being a stand by watching happen can make the child suffer from emotional and psychological trauma affecting their development due to the fact of their parents not having themselves together
