Essential Listening for the Arcade & Pinball Hobbyist

I consider Brent and Whitney’s podcast to be the required companion-material for the arcade and pinball hobby. Their podcast is insightful, entertaining and best of all: real. They are collector - hobbyists with a healthy perspective and strong back-catalog of experiences to draw from. They are pragmatic, they have fun and they don’t take this stuff or themselves too seriously. They continue to provide a consistent balance and a net-positive influence in the hobby.

The podcasts are lengthy but smartly divided into segments that are consumable even for those of us with diminished attentive faculties. I love listening to their podcast while working on my games and since I enjoy their podcast I find myself finding reasons to work on the games more. Their podcast is an essential nutrient to the positive-feedback loop of keeping me on top of my TODO: List. :)

The hosts’ repair, parts & tool advice is second-to-none and I constantly find myself referring individual episodes to friends where Brent & Whitney have “been there, seen that and got the t-shirt.” The subject matter isn’t always limited to arcade and pinball topics but expands to include the myriad of construction, electrical, plumbing & work-life intermissions that often impact us in the hobby. Whether addressing water issues in my basement or rom-issues on Tempest, I’ve found their podcast to be helpful and up-lifting. Best of all, if you run into these guys at a show you’ll find they are just as amicable and friendly in-person as they are on-air.

Keep up the great work guys and thank you for the many-hours of entertainment you’ve provided. If you guys need me for anything, I’ll be in the hardware store shopping for frost-free spigots & dehumidifiers. :)

Awesome podcast for arcade enthusiasts

As I am fairly new to the hobby, I have listened to several podcasts to assist in my endeavor. This one is by far my favorite. There is a segment of the show that requires some discipline on my part not to go and spend all my money, even though my dog will soon have a new collar, I manage to stay strong. Keep up the great work guys.

Month after month, keeps on getting better and better!

I have only been in the hobby of collecting for about 2 years now. It was my dream as a kid (I'm 42 now) to own a single arcade game. I now have 8 and the collection is growing and growing.

I look forward towards the end of every month for the new podcast. I have tried listening to a few others, but none of them come close in the level of detail and information. Brent and Whitney's way of chatting every month makes it feel like I'm listening to a few of my friends talking each month.

Aside from the games and pin talk, I'm learned about the trials and tribuations of 3D printing and Frost-Free spigots!

Keep up the great work guys and hopefully will catch you at a show soon!
