BOF 118: Trevor Wittwer - Challenge is the way: Preparing Your Kids with Adversity

BOF 118: Trevor Wittwer - Challenge is the way: Preparing Your Kids with Adversity

We all want what's best for our kids, and sometimes that means challenging them through adversity. It can be tough to know when to push your child and when to let them figure things out on their own, but with the right mix of support and tough love, you can help them build the resilience they need to succeed in life. So how do you go about doing that? Stay tuned to learn more!

Trevor is an ex-professional athlete, boutique fitness facility creator, software founder, coach, dad to 2, and husband to 1. He got his feet wet in the fitness industry training himself for peak athletic performance. After a pro contract fell through, he started his professional fitness career. Over the next four years, he grew a client base from 0 (training his mom doesn’t count) to over 220 in a rural farming community of 5000 people. Scaling a client base past just a handful of clients brings certain limitations to the surface. One of those is providing an exceptional experience and maintaining a high level of accountability for each individual. Since launching the software in 2016 he has been fortunate to bring two awesome boys, Asher and Ezra, into the world with his incredible wife Erin. On an unrelated side note, he also has a small obsession with Chipotle.

Kids are faced with all sorts of challenges, big and small. But how do you know when to step in and help them out, and when to let them struggle a bit on their own?

Not Afraid to Ask? ,

Fatherhood is tough enough - You don't have to do it alone

Every father approaches fatherhood woefully unprepared - whether we can admit it beforehand or not. Once you don the title of "father" to bio kids, step kids, adopted kids, or any other father figure role, you become part of an unofficial brotherhood. That's where brotherhood of fatherhood comes in. Host Scott Rammage ties together this awesome band of men and creates a community of other guys looking to fathers to support each other, hold each accountable, and grow as fathers, men, and contributors to society.

Guests cover a variety of topics and seasons of life that make every dad feel like they aren't alone on this journey. Listen, subscribe, pass it on to others and start taking ownership over one of the most important roles you'll ever have in your life.
