Brothers in Baby Loss was founded by four bereaved dads; Jeff, Ross, Dan and Mikey, who have all suffered the loss of a child. ​ We decided to set up this podcast to discuss our experiences and journeys in baby loss, with the aim of being a place that other bereaved fathers can go to for advice and honest discussions about baby loss, without any stigma attached. This is the worst club in the world, that none of us should (or want) to be a part of. But, we hope that through this podcast you can find a little bit of solace in our journey together as brothers in baby loss. Expect open conversations about baby loss from a Dads point of view, a welcoming space where there's no such thing as a silly question, and even a bit of banter to help us muddle through.

    S2 E6 - The Rainbow Journey

    In season 2 episode 6. Mikey, Jeff, Ross and Dan discuss a very delicate and special subject, The Rainbow Journey. Some may know, some may not, but the rainbow journey is the term used for the pregnancy journey after a loss. Ross, Mikey and Dan have been on this journey, and all know how difficult, exhausting, yet ultimately rewarding this journey can be. At the time of recording episode 6 Dan was over halfway of his own rainbow journey, and we wanted to capture the raw feelings of the journey within this episode. Dan eloquently articulated his experience to share this knowing that many of you can take something from this episode in your own journey through Baby loss. Although a difficult journey, Dan, Ross and Mikey have gone on to welcome beautiful rainbow babies into the world bringing some light and hope back into their lives. Jeff also talks about the ongoing battle he faces about whether his fears and concerns about trying for a rainbow baby, not only logistical matters, such as age, but also the mental strain, the worry and anxiety that the pressure could place upon his wife and other children. In its 22nd year, Baby Loss Awareness Week is an opportunity to bring those affected by Baby Loss together as a community and provide anyone touched by pregnancy and baby loss a safe and supportive space to share their experiences and feel that they are not alone. Baby Loss Awareness week culminates at 7pm on Wednesday 15th October, in an international WaveOfLight, messages of remembrance and hope that bring many people together.
