    6.13 Dead Things

If only we could go back in time and be held by the sweet embrace of robot boyfriends, demons on the internet, snake mayors, and bad eggs. Alas, we are here together in Season 6, and today we are discussing Episode 13: Dead Things. Somehow, despite the heaviness of the episode itself, we find ourselves having a LOT to say about one Fatih Lehane, ranting on middle parts and Gen Z, and delighted in sheer horror at what has been done to Buffy's green t-shirt. Join us, we shall journey forth together!

For a deeper conversation on the heavier themes in today's episode, please see below for information on the conversation between Alba Daza and Jess Clark!

JESS CLARK in Conversation with Alba Daza

    CW: Sexual Violence, Physical Violence

    Listen here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/51142821

As noted in the intro to today's episode, Producer Alba Daza had a conversation with Jess Clark, doing a deeper dive into the trio's attempted rape and murder of Katrina in this week's episode — examining why Andrew and Jonathan, specifically, seem surprised to hear Katrina call it what it is by name, how the trio is specifically positioned to help us examine toxic masculinity, incel culture, and (of course) the patriarchy.

Jess Clark is the Prevention Manager at Solace Crisis Treatment Center (a rape crisis center) in Santa Fe, NM and a consultant for Catharsis Productions out of Chicago. He has been doing sexual violence prevention for a decade and his work focuses on increasing youth capacity to interrogate systems of oppression, exploring queer/trans masculinites as a site of violence prevention, and supporting organizations in better serving transgender communities through policies and best practices.A massive thank you to both Jess and Alba for having this conversation.

Angel On Top — 3x13 Waiting in the Wings

Scoobies, the wait is finally over, and it is time for "Waiting in the Wings." That's right, the gang at Angel Investigations is stepping (and tripping) out — and The WB circa 2002 is absolutely buzzing about it. As are your hosts, LaToya Ferguson and Morgan Lutich (AKA the Cordelia and Fred of the Bufferingverse, AKA Bones and Also Bones, AKA the Gunn Squad, AKA Theodore K. Mullins and Frank Scabopolis, and so much more), who just can't get enough of "Giselle." (Psst. That's the ballet they see in this episode of Angel.)

    0.36 Clare Kramer + Fanaddicts!

We hung out with the always-wonderful and, of course, splendiferous Clare Kramer! We had so much dang fun talking to her about her new podcast, Fanaddicts (which launches today!), that we decided to put the entire conversation right here in the main feed. A little extra joy for your week, Scoobies!

We talk about Jenny's deep knowledge on the mating rituals of stoats, Kristin's newfound-love-of-plumbing, Clare's penchant for using Sharpie on her children's arms, and we review our astrological charts — since this podcast remains committed to being as gay as possible. Enjoy!

Which is really good news right now, because Daddy Angel has mouths to feed. Join your hosts LaToya Ferguson and Morgan Lutich (AKA the Cordelia and Fred of the Bufferingverse, AKA Bones and Also Bones, AKA the Gunn Squad, AKA Theodore K. Mullins and Frank Scabopolis, and so much more) as they discuss "Provider" (AKA "Provider: Daddies All Around"), an episode that begs the question: Has anyone ever actually seen the feature film Money Monster? Love the Buffy Dissection; Hate the Politics and SJW

Previously a 5 star for me but they’ve gotten more and more vocal about their extreme liberal views and have now included a white supremacy jingle and towards the end of season 5 they mentioned ACAB. Simply put, we see things very differently (I have several LEOs in my immediate family) and I no longer enjoy listening as much as I did. However, this is their platform and if you’re on board with their views or can ffw past them like I do then it’s still a good show and the episode songs from Jenny are still amazing!!

Was so much fun in the beginning!

I used to LOVE this podcast. Toward the beginning, I clearly remember a poll as to whether or not politics should be part of this show. If memory serves, people essentially said, “Nah, let this just be a fun escape centered on Buffy”.
I didn’t mind the patriarchy jingle and such, because it still seemed to be light-hearted, overall. However. The virtue-signaling has become really unbearable to listen to. Every time these two white people address other white people, as though what they’re talking about somehow doesn’t somehow apply to them, my eyeballs roll out of my head. Too much about the hosts’ egos for me.
