[BUSINESS] How to Make Some of Your Most Difficult Business Decisions

[BUSINESS] How to Make Some of Your Most Difficult Business Decisions

The types of difficult decisions we are faced with in business are unique because they aren't really straight-forward. Many times, there are no clear-cut right answers. No obvious path forward.

Lots of times, there isn't even an optimal choice to make - we're weighing between multiple options that are equally important, enticing, or risky. It's a recipe for confusion, second-guessing, and uncertainty. Not exactly the mindset we want to be walking around with all the time!

So, when we're faced with decisions like these, we need something to fall back on to help us decide. We need a compass, of sorts.  Our personal values can provide that compass, which is why we're going to be focusing on them for this episode.

[LIFE] The Money Nerve with Bob Wheeler

[LIFE] The Money Nerve with Bob Wheeler

How much money do you make?
How about this one, if a job opportunity came up that paid DOUBLE what you make today, how nervous would you be to apply for it?
In today’s episode, we’re talking about the connection between our emotions and our finances. It’s a bigger connection than you’d anticipate.
Today’s podcast guest is Bob Wheeler. Bob is an accountant by training, but his work goes so much further than that. Through is book, “The Money Nerve,” his podcast “Money You Ask,” and his live and online trainings, Bob helps people unpack their emotions and beliefs about money and how they might be influencing their decisions and financial outcomes.
In this valuable conversation, we talk about the connection between emotion and money. We talk about where our beliefs about money come from and how they impact our decisions. Finally, we talk about how to begin to do “the work” of realigning our relationship with money.
The fact is, money is not the root of all evil. The more money you make, the bigger impact you can have on society and your own family for generations to come.

Self-care that Gets Me Out of My Own Way

I love a podcast where the conversation is less prescribed, more free flowing, where the host and guest seem to truly be engaged and learning new things from each other. April breaks down psychology and behavior in a way that helps me get out of my own way! Several episodes (including KC Davis!) have been game changers and setting realistic expectations for myself. P.s. I will never not make coffee the night before ☕️ Thank you! 🙏🏽🦋 — Jen G

Awesome!

April does an amazing job of extracting the best of the best out of her guests allowing me as the listener to take the insights and put them into actionable items in my own life. I particularly enjoyed episode 189 with Will Moore of Moore Momentum. Keep it up!

Thank you

The first podcast I heard from April was with Cheryl. I decided to listen during a long run and realized I was smiling the entire time. I got home so excited to integrate writings down things that I’m grateful for and what were my fave moments from the day before. Not only am I starting this, I’m starting this with my kids (however we will do it in the evening). I’m also purchasing the music!
I also started listening to the coaching episode and can not wait to share with my peer leaders on Monday!! Thank you for the great experience and I look forward to listening to more.
