Love it
This story has all the components you want! Mystery, friendship, loss, dark humor, and monsters. Burning rock feels like a haunting beautiful town that I want to visit but don’t know if I’m brave enough. I just went back through to listen from the beginning and she has woven great themes and hints through it all!
Fantastic Show!
This is a haunting slow burn story of friendship, loss, and the deep pain of missing someone you love. And then add the monsters!
Totally worth your time, the narrator has a great story telling voice and pace.
Very well done!
Really enjoying this show. It’s very slow-burn creepiness. It’s a single narrator but she does a great job making you feel like you’re there.
My only complaint is the tech is not era-appropriate; characters are doing things with phones that weren’t possible (or extremely rare) in 2002: taking photos & video, or using phones as flashlights!
