    14. The Exact Things I’d Focus on if I Was Starting Over on Instagram

I started with ZERO followers. I’ve grown both of my Instagram accounts from 0 to 10k in under a year. It took a LOT of trial and error as I was growing my first therapy page (@sitwithkelly), and I for sure made my fair share of mistakes. All of my hard work and consistency helped me have an ‘easier’ experience with my second page.  I’ve learned sooo much along the way, but I’ve also been an Instagram therapist for 4 years now! If you’re a brand new therapist on Instagram (or even if you aren’t), I don’t want you to compare your journey to mine. I want to share with you 9 key things that I would focus on, if I was starting over as a new Instagram therapist. Some of these items will take you more time than others (especially in the beginning). But...as you learn, you’ll get better and faster over time. In this episode, I cover:  What it was like growing my first Instagram page vs. my secondNine things I would focus on as a new Instagram therapist Connect with Kelly: Follow on Instagram @businessoftherapy and @sitwithkellyCheck out the Business of Therapy website Make sure to hit follow/subscribe so you never miss an episode! 13. The #1 Driver of Results in My Business

In today’s episode, I’m talking about the number one driver of results in my business. If I had to sum it up in one word, the number one driver of all my results in my business has been CONSISTENCY.  Consistency probably doesn’t mean (or even look) the same for everyone. I do believe that it’s crucial if you want to continue growing your private practice though! Consistency allows you to build trust and deepen relationships with your community, and get realllly good at one particular thing. At the end of the day, showing up consistently on Instagram NEEDS to be a priority. This is the way you’re going to succeed in your business, and make more of a lasting impact with your ideal client!  In this episode, I cover:  What consistency looks like for me in MY businessReasons why consistency is so important in businessWhy showing up on Instagram consistently needs to be your priority + ways to do thisWhy you need to get really good at one thing before adding MORE to your plate Connect with Kelly: Follow on Instagram @businessoftherapy and @sitwithkellyCheck out the Business of Therapy website Related Episode:  Episode 11: Big Instagram Growth Minus the Burnout Make sure to hit follow/subscribe so you never miss an episode! 12. Using Reels to Grow Multiple Income Streams with Therapist Carrie Jackson

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Carrie for seven months now, and I’m sooo proud of what she’s accomplished in that time! Carrie has already seen major success with not only one, but TWO Instagram pages. She’s grown her main account to well over 45k followers, primarily using Instagram Reels to reach more people. She has a full caseload with dream clients (plus more ready to work with her).  Carrie has been able to grow multiple income streams using Reels. She’s gone from working 20-25 hours every week, to 10-15 doing work she’s EXCITED about. She’s also brought on two associates to her practice, and now charges $375 per 1-1 session! In today’s episode, we’re chatting about using Reels to grow multiple income streams. Reels are the best way to reach MORE of your ideal client on Instagram. Carrie has experienced awesome growth using Reels to grow her accounts, because she’s gotten super specific on who she speaks to in her content! 9. My Tough Decision to See Less Therapy Clients

One of the things I consistently share on Instagram is my monthly income report. You may have noticed that my income from 1-1 therapy clients isn’t as high as it used to be. In fact...it’s pretty low, which has led people to ask me WHY that is.  Well...that’s because I made the tough decision to see less therapy clients.  You may be thinking ‘why the heck would you do that?!”, or questioning if it’s possible for YOU to make 6 figures seeing 1-1 therapy clients.  I knew I wanted to dedicate an entire episode to this topic and talk more in depth about WHY I decided to see less therapy clients. Quite a bit has changed for me along the way, so let’s get into it!  In this episode, I cover:  My first year in private practice with ONLY1-1 therapy clientsWhat happened when my Instagram really took offMy major business growth in 2022 + what needed to change in 2023Why I intentionally chose to see less 1-1 therapy clients in 2023 and what this looked likeWhy you MUST give yourself permission to do what’s best for you and your business Connect with Kelly: Follow on Instagram @businessoftherapy and @sitwithkellyCheck out the Business of Therapy website Make sure to hit follow/subscribe so you never miss an episode! 8. $10k Months as a Therapist in the Midwest with Jen Nobo

Jen Nobo is a millennial therapist, based in the Midwest. She primarily works with Gen Z and millennial women who struggle with anxiousness and people-pleasing tendencies. Jen uses a modern approach when working with her clients. She prides herself on being a friend who is objective, while also holding you accountable as you work through the ‘uncomfy’ stuff. Jen and I started working together in early 2023, when she joined my Mastermind. At that time, she had an Instagram page with a few thousand followers. We focused on her niching down so she could position herself as an authority in her space, and grow her private practice. Since then, Jen has grown to over 30k followers on Instagram. She’s also increased her rate and quadrupled her income. And yeah…she’s done all of this in less than two years, which is freaking AMAZING!! In this episode, we cover:  The biggest shift that happened for Jen as she started creating content on Instagram to grow her private practiceWhy Jen was offering ‘negotiated rates’ to her clients in the beginningHow Jen has successfully RAISED her rates + filled her caseloadJen’s turning point on Instagram with not only one, but TWO reels going viralHow Jen’s income has quadrupled since starting her InstagramAdvice for charging premium rates and building your caseload, regardless of where you live Connect with Jen: Follow on Instagram @jen.noboCheck out Jen’s FIRST viral reelCheck out Jen’s SECOND viral reelCheck out her website Connect with Kelly: Follow on Instagram @businessoftherapy and @sitwithkellyCheck out the Business of Therapy website Make sure to hit follow/subscribe so you never miss an episode!
