It sounds like a movie script: for nearly a year and a half since she got a serious knock on the head, Caitlin Little wakes up every morning thinking it’s October 13th, 2017. Except, in the movies, you can always write your own, happy ending. Caitlin and her family have to find answers in real life and medicine. So why is it so hard to find any answers? And her story can’t possibly be real … can it?

My heart goes out to this family

It is so incredibly sad to me that not only is this poor family going through these struggles, but also how many charlatans gave them false hope along the way. I am truly sorry traditional medicine was not able to cure such a devastating injury, but shame on the people willing to take their money and time and talk down about the healthcare professionals and cause the family to question the treatment and care they received. Many things were not offered or suggested by physicians because they have not shown any promise in treating a condition like this. And low and behold - they didn’t solve The Little’s problems either! At the same time, I can only imagine what it must be like and I don’t fault them at all for trying everything possible to help their daughter. I hope someday they are able to find an actual efficacious treatment for these types of neurologic issues.

Resonates- you can see your own story here

I just can’t stop thinking about this family. I live close in SC and I'm not even sure how I heard about The Littles. From every single angle- there’s a piece of the story that resonates. Caitlin’s chronic pain, her change in upbeat personality to withdrawn but not her diligence. Her relationships with her siblings and how this affects them. The family dynamic- the toll on the marriage- the toll on each individual and all those who are close to them and serve them. The mother/daughter/father/spouse/other children changes. This is heavy. But it’s also such an uplifting story. One of hope and perseverance. One of defeats- the traditional medical community being one of them. I work in medicine and I also deal with chronic pain. It’s a mess. I’m so very proud of this family. I am claiming victory and healing over this entire situation Lord! You are mighty to save and that means this family. Please lead and guide them as they are searching. Give Caitlin complete and miriaculous healing. Restore those broken places. Comfort her mom & dad and give them your strength. God be both her family and the providers boldness. Provide for all of their needs Lord. Have every person who hears this story contribute something for this family. Help them to know they are not alone. They don’t have to make it sound perfect or pretty all the time. We are here for you in ways that are not voyeuristic but in human kindness and love. Bottom line- you see your own story here. God is using this story.

XOXO
