Unnerving Modern Horror
The aesthetic of this podcast really elevates it into something wonderful. The stories the episodes are centered around are quality horror stories, although by themselves I’d likely rate them as 3-4 stars. However, the audio quality and production value which is obvious from the very beginning of the show makes them a delight to listen to. The framing device is my absolute favorite part, and what makes it a guarantee that I’ll be listening to each new episode the moment it releases. The rituals it describes are chilling and just realistic enough that I almost felt tempted to try them, and I absolutely love the presentation of the podcast as something the listener is an active participant in. I can’t wait to see where the show goes from here.
