Phew! I came across a story on the 'Humans Of New York' page on Instagram and I decided to find out who the founder of that awesome platform is. When I tell you discovering Brandon Stanton's journey and story encouraged me, you'll probably not understand fully. This podcast has over time become a safe place for me to share my deepest thoughts and sometimes, rant and I am so grateful for that. Ayomide's breasts were ironed at a very young age which according to the mother, was to ward off men from abusing her by creating an illusion her breasts weren't fully developed like 'that of an adult. It's so sad that these practices are still carried out in this 21st century. I also shared my friend's experience undergoing breast ironing at a young age as well.
