WAIT, I'm skinny in all of these old pics...WHY did I think I was fat?!

WAIT, I'm skinny in all of these old pics...WHY did I think I was fat?!

Have you ever looked at an old picture and said "wait a second, I looked so good! But I remember thinking I was so fat back then, wtf"? You are NOT alone....
IN FACT, this is actually going to be a great episode to pop in your headphones (there's a little bit of EXPLICIT LANGUAGE) and listen to me go OFF about how diet culture is distorting how we see our bodies, and some sneaky but prevalent ways that our negative perceptions continue to thrive. Ultimately we have the power to take control of what's influencing us from pop-culture & social media, and this episode is all about hitting that unfollow button and taking that power back BABY

Weight Loss TV Shows - Inspiring or Fatphobic?

Weight Loss TV Shows - Inspiring or Fatphobic?

OK, DRINK EVERY TIME I SAY 'at the end of the day' in this episode.....actually please don't, I don't need anyone sending me hospital bills....

This week I'm trying to figure out if weight loss tv shows are a fun and inspiring form of entertainment, or a black hole of fatphobia and negativity. I evaluate not only the entertainment value of shows like 'The Biggest Loser' and 'Revenge Body' , but also attempt to expose the toxic and biased messages that get masterfully disguised alongside glamorous makeovers and intense workout montages. Are these shows worth the mass following that they've garnered over the years, or is their very existence a trivialized portrayal of the deeply emotional and psychological weight loss process?
