Walking 500 miles on the Camino de Santiago is a magical experience. The Camino is one of the oldest Christian pilgrimages.
My guest on this podcast almost lost her courage to continue the Camino; she almost flew home. But when someone is called to the Camino, you have to do it.
At age 53, Sue walked 500 miles across Spain on the Camino de Santiago. At 54, she walked 500 miles through Italy from the Gran San Bernard Pass to Rome on the Via Francigena.
Sue is passionate about helping her clients overcome health challenges with a detoxifying lifestyle and anti-inflammatory foods.
In this episode, Sue and I chat about her incredible 500 mile journey on The Camino.
What's more, Sue is sharing timeless life lessons, including:
- Carry only what you need. Don't carry baggage you're not meant to carry.
- Look for the signs. The signs are always there.
- You don't have to have everything figured out; just know your next step.
- There are always blessings in going the extra distance.
- The company you keep determines the quality of the journey.
- Strive for a balance between solitude and community. You can walk by yourself and you can always find other people on your trail.
- Guard your energy.
- There are no strangers, just friends we haven't met. You can learn something from anyone.
