Camp Widow - Michele Neff Hernandez Death By Design

    • Health & Fitness

Michele Neff Hernandez is the founder, and Executive Director of Soaring Spirits International / Camp Widow. Ms. Neff Hernandez has been featured on numerous local, national, and International broadcasts for her work with Soaring Spirits, and the widowed community. Michele also inspires people as a motivational speaker, freelance writer, and is a member of the Bereavement Training Team for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Michele has contributed to over 100 different websites, blogs, and publications for single project work.

Camp Widow® is a unique and incredible experience. During the course of a weekend this program provides both practical tools and relevant resources for widowed persons rebuilding their lives in the aftermath of the death of a spouse or partner.
But the most important thing that Camp Widow® provides to the widowed people who attend is an in-person community of others who are making their way through widowhood one day at a time. Campers come from all over the country, and around the world, to meet other widowed people face to face, and to experience the camaraderie that this event creates.
You might imagine these gatherings are morose, but you will find that the truth is quite the contrary.
Among peers, lifted up by understanding, and validated in the uniqueness of every person’s unique grief recovery…the mood at Camp Widow®if hopeful, positive, and uplifting.
We hold three Camp Widow® events each year, two in the United States and one in Canada. Full details, and dates for each event, can be found at www.campwidow.org.
