Stephen is also a Senior Associate Professor at the Department of Politics and International Studies at International Christian University, Tokyo and the Governor of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Japan. He regularly publishes in outlets such as the Japan Times, Nikkei Asian Review, Geopolitical Monitor, The National Interest and the Journal of Indo-Pacific Affairs. Originally from Calgary, he has been in East Asia for almost decades, and speaks multiple languages. He is now based in Tokyo.
