Career Change Allies: Paul Porter - Being a male ally for career changers Career Happy Mums: The Podcast

    • Careers

In this episode I chat to Paul Porter who is passionate about people, growth, employee engagement, and experience that enables individuals and teams to be the best they can be every day. Paul is a true male ally to everyone wanting to develop or make changes in their careers.
As an HR and Leadership professional, now working with Thrive Law - Employment Law and HR Specialists, Paul offers a huge amount of advice and insight in this episode - touching on what a male ally is, how to find them and how we can all impact the world of equality and diversity.
Paul articulates his awareness of the privileges he has (male, white, educated...) but shares how he - and others like him - can be supporters and sponsors to anyone trying to make changes in their careers.
Paul is a father of three children and he and his wife work hard to ensure an equal balance in the household - stressing the importance of role modelling this behaviour to our children.
You can find out more about the work Paul, Jodie Hill and the rest of the Thrive Tribe do to help organisations better support and engage their employees here: https://www.thrivelaw.co.uk/
