I’m a homeschooling mother of 5 kids under 10 years old. These guys live in my head; it’s like listening to my ADD thoughts aloud coming out of some guys’ mouths. I laugh SO MUCH, loudly! I with I could tell you my favorite joke, which employs British, French, and Russian accents. It’s THE BEST. Love you guys! Now I’m going to go milk a goat, sharpen farm implements, and double dig another garden bed. . .

Actually, since I don’t use social media I do have a question that you wouldn’t otherwise see, maybe for mindless banter. What advice do you have for people who want to simplify and step back in tech as a method of prepping. I’m that person who, when the power goes out, I open all the windows, light the hurricane lamps, and gripe at my flashlight-wielding husband for destroying my night vision. For this lifestyle, if there’s a shtf, what is top priority? Hand powered well pump? Milk cow? Pig-manure methane reactor? Passive solar hot water? What do you guys think of the political overlap of prepping and environmentalism? That last question is absolutely a joke!

I value the not too serious nature of this podcast. Cam and Colby offer plenty of useful information to help plan for calamities. A positive mindset is the best thing a person can bring to a bad situation. Laughter and rolling with the punches is the best way to get through hard tasks. I spent my younger summers doing wild land fire fighting and have been a cop for 15 years. The ability to find the humor in strenuous and hectic situations is just as important as having cool gear like a Johnson rod wrench and tactical chickens.
