Cool concept, production value lacking

As a kid who grew up in the early 2000's reading AltPress religiously, seeing a new podcast from one of their most veteran members is exciting. I remember listening to the AltPress podcast about 10 years ago or so where Jason and his cohost just played up and coming alt music and talked about it.

You would probably be hard pressed to find someone with more experience covering the alternative music scene than Pettigrew. I'm excited to see who he'll have on and what stories they will tell.

That being said, the first episode lacked a few things I've come to expect in a modern podcast. The production quality was lacking, and it sounded like someone was recording their skype call on a cell phone. It didn't seem edited at all, and there were more than a few awkward silences.

If the point of this podcast is just to reminisce about the good old days of the birth of early 2000's alt music, then I'll gladly add this niche 'cast to my subscriptions. I just hope they upgrade their mics and get some editing software.
