CDC Revisits Face Mask Use for the General Public Here's What's Up

    • Politics

The Center for Disease control is revisiting its policy on the general public wearing masks when they leave the house.

Countries such as the Czech Republic and South Korea have significantly reduced the spread of COVID-19 by widely using masks in public. According to the Department Head of Chemistry & Aerosol Physics at the Czech Academy of Sciences, a simple at home face mask can prevent up to 100% of the spread of potentially infected microdroplets.

NPR said it perfectly, “many people who are infected with the virus have no symptoms - or only mild symptoms. What this means is that there's no good way to know who's infected. You may be inadvertently shedding the virus every time you talk with someone, such as a grocery store clerk.”

There are a lot of great youtube tutorials on how to make a mask at home. These at home masks need to be washed frequently and its important to note which side of the mask has been exposed to the outside.
