Gene has published two bestsellers, “Farm Sanctuary: Changing Hearts and Minds About Animals and Food” and “Living the Farm Sanctuary Life” (co-authored with Gene Stone.) Since 1986, Farm Sanctuary’s Adopt a Turkey Project has encouraged people to sponsor a rescued “spokes-turkey” for Thanksgiving instead of eating one, inspiring people to celebrate a compassionate Thanksgiving by thinking about turkeys differently!
