An early goal by Johnny Kenny put the Bhoys one up at the break before Tierney doubled the lead, with late goals from Daizen Maeda and Arne Engels putting some gloss on the scoreline against a struggling Kilmarnock side. With Hearts only able to draw with Dundee United earlier in the day the result means we’re now just seven points adrift at the top of the table with a game in hand, and Derek McInnes’ side will now be feeling the pressure that little bit more. We now head in to the final international break of the calendar year, and it may well be that there’s a new man at the helm when we return - but either way it was another good day for interim manager Martin O’Neill who’s now registered three straight domestic wins since his surprise return to the club. 🎙️Join Tino & Mif for this one as they cover today’s important league win at Celtic Park. The hosts had won three Europa League games on the bounce going into this one but with O'Neill at the helm we headed into Matchday 4 with renewed confidence following his dramatic return last week. That confidence was obliterated however in an 8 minute first half spell which saw us go in three down at the break and from there on in we had a mountain to climb. Reo Hatate's penalty added some credibility to the scoreline but the night was made notably worse by what looks to be a worrying injury for young Callum Osmand.     If you were a short story writer, you’d struggle to dream up anything more fantastical than the real-life drama that’s unfolded at Celtic Park over the past seven days. Shock resignations, dramatic statements, a returning hero - and that was just Monday! Since then, we’ve seen passionate fan protests, a swashbuckling win over Falkirk, the long-awaited release of the fan survey, and even a first look at the new stadium banners. And if all that wasn’t enough, Martin O’Neill returned to the dugout for his first Glasgow Derby in over 20 years - and, in classic O’Neill fashion, led the Bhoys to victory on a high-energy afternoon at Hampden Park. Callum Osmand rightly stole the headlines on the big occasion, but he wasn’t alone. A number of his teammates deserve huge credit for showing the kind of fighting spirit that’s been missing for much of the season as they played they battled their way into next month's final. At this rate, who knows what the next few weeks and months will bring?
