EP144: I Forgot!
The inspiration for this episode is a Biblical quote retold in Moshe Gersht’s book It’s All The Same To Me. “In the beginning there was one voice. Then there were two. Now there is one. Our first step is to, at the very least, return back to hearing two voices.” The voices are said to […]
EP143: It’s All the Same to Me with Moshe Gersht
Moshe Gersht is the author of It’s All the Same to Me, a book about the equanimity we discover beyond our mind’s ideas of how life should go. This kind of equanimity or “sameness” is the exact opposite of dull, boring, or cookie-cutter. When we sense our shared oneness, the light in all things, as […]
EP142: Katherine’s Change Story: Intrusive Thoughts and Postpartum Anxiety
Katherine went through a boatload of anxiety, depression, and intrusive thoughts after the birth of her daughter a few years ago. For as hard as that time in her life was, it’s incredible to hear how it all looks to her now. Katherine discovered her resilience through this hard, scary time. She’s come to see […]
EP141: Hypervigilance and Setting Down What You’re Carrying
Consider what it might be like to not carry anything through time. To not carry your clung-to identities or problems around. To not be checking on, or “working on” anything. Notice how often you check on your issues. How am I doing? How’s my progress? How’s my problem? I want to suggest that none of […]
EP140: Shane’s Change Story: How 20 Years of PTSD Revealed his True Identity
Shane is a former law enforcement agent who began experiencing PTSD symptoms 20 years ago, after an event on the job. For years, he was in therapy that had him relive the traumatic event over and over again. It was horribly painful, but the memories did lose a lot of their power after he replayed […]
EP139: My Relationship
It’s an episode within an episode! I’m sharing my conversation with Angus and Rohini Ross, when they interviewed me about my relationship with my husband on their incredible podcast, Rewilding Love. I talk about how this understanding has impacted our relationship, how many of the ideas and theories I used to have about what made […]
I am really enjoying this podcast. Thanks to Barb Patterson, I’m starting to have a new understanding. Looking forward to learning more.
Absolutely life changing
After reading Amy’s book, “The Little Book of Big Change,” I was transformed. I was so excited to find out that she also has this podcast. I will be listening to all 120 episodes as fast as possible. I had always had the hint that my circumstances shouldn’t dictate my level of joy, but I just didn’t know how to wrap my head around it. I found Amy and now it all makes sense. From eating to complaining to biting my fingernails to having suicidal thoughts since childhood .....everything has changed for me. I now know that all of those things do not make me who I am. And it’s finally not WILLPOWER. I highly recommend all things Dr. Amy Johnson!!!!!!
This information is so transformational! Thank you so much Dr Johnson!
