Listen to a powerful interview with ⁠AdopTexas⁠ Adoption Agency, ⁠⁠⁠⁠ Owner Charlotte Duncan a woman who started an adoption agency with her husband over forty years ago. Today she discusses her passion for adoption and giving #Birthmothers and #Parents with fertility issues or facing an unplanned pregnancy crisis, the option of putting up their child for adoption as well as learning about the process of adoption. In her words she explains, " The (adoption) process when it is done right and every person is respected and treated in the way that God expects us to treat each other. Adoption is a bridge, a bridge that links the birth and adoptive families’ hopes and dreams forever. That bridge should safely carry a child from the birth family into the adoptive family to provide that child with the life and opportunities those birthparents have made that ultimate sacrifice for. Adoption is based on the foundation of trust.; trust of me by birth and adoptive families and trust by me of them. If there is no trust there is no relationship." She has dedicated her life to being entrusted to help pregnant women find their babies homes in a safe and loving environment.

Kelsey grew up to start Safe Haven Baby Boxes, Inc. once she learned she had been abandoned as an infant and after seeing a "Baby Box" in operation at a church, in Cape Town, South Africa. She has made it her personal mission to educate others on the Safe Haven Laws that give #Mothers and #Parents in Crisis the Option of Legally Surrendering their Baby in all 50 States up to 30 days (some states up to 60 days) or younger – to emergency personnel; a hospital, firehouse, police station, college campus police, and walk away with no questions asked or criminal charges. Be inspired by her journey, what art has inpired her work the legacy of baby Amelia, and the amount of abandoned babies her foundation has saved, as she and her family do whatever it takes to save the lives of innocent babies from being abandoned.
