Engaging Opponents of the Unbound Gospel – 2 Timothy 2:14-26

Endure in the Unbound Gospel – 2 Timothy 2:1-13

Paul longs for Timothy to endure in the unbound gospel. To withstand hardship and bear up under persecution. To do this Timothy must be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. That said, the goal is not merely to endure hardship. The goal is to embrace the gift of eternal life with God.

Servants of an Unbound Gospel – 2 Timothy 1:1-7

Servants of an Unbound Gospel – 2 Timothy 1:1-7

Paul and Timothy’s lives were dramatically reordered by the gospel. Paul longs for Timothy to prepare the church for this kind of radical life of sacrifice. We live in a culture opposed to the message we carry in our hearts. Following Jesus will require us to absorb risk, stand against opposition, and fix our eyes on our eternal glory. We are servants of an unbound gospel. A gospel that will force itself into every corner of the earth, collecting a people who will enjoy God forever.

Thanks!

When I was younger I attended Cherrydale with my mother. Now I live in Norfolk and miss the great sermons! I am very glad that I have found this podcast. I especially miss the Sunday handout for note taking, it was so convenient and helped with following along immensely! Thank you Cherrydale for posting these sermons, and thank you Pastor King for doing what you do!
