Hola gente! Welcome to Chicana Chisme! A podcast that brings you the different experiences of chicanos and latinos around the U.S., some history, and those hush hush topics we never speak of.
Recording Live History
Geremy Landin is a very active member in the San Antonio community. Not only has he ran for city council, he is on boards and commissions to help make the city the best it can be for its people. His interest in history led him to a masters degree in public history and a project that involved the recording of live oral history of San Antonio's Westside.
*Replay* Soy Chicano and Trans
Since this is the last week of pride month, I wanted to replay one of my favorite episodes, Soy Chicano and Trans. Being trans is an issue rarely talked about, being a chicano in a trans community is talked about even less. This episode my friend James and I speak on his transition while being chicano AND in the military.
Unlearning "Toxico" culture
During a months hiatus from social media I've come to discover just how deep and unhealthy toxico culture is. The past few years we have made a joke of it but there's more to it than we realize.
Getting Back to Your Roots, Tejano Style
Tejano Tiktoker Lexie Rodriguez sits with me as we talk about Tik Tok, her love of Tejano, and making sure her kids know where they come from.
What up LYFESTYLE LIZ?!
My girl Lifestyle Liz is a crazy beautiful woman who happens to be a Certified Plus Sized Trainer. Listen to her journey with fitness, confidence, and dating!
"The secret of getting things done is to act" with Eric Velasquez
Community leader, Eric Velasquez, and I sit down to talk local politics, how to get involved, and the importance of political awareness. Catch him on his podcast Alamo City Agenda.
The way Tori expresses her thoughts and perspectives have really opened my mind since I started listening to this show. I also really enjoy the way she interacts with her guests.
