Not just for “tone sleuths.”

C&R Talk Guitars is a lot of fun. The guys’ love for the git-fiddles is evident in their choices of topics for discussion. You don’t have to be a “tone sleuth” or a player with an amp worth more than a monthly mortgage payment and “pounds on the ground” of boutique FX pedals to enjoy this podcast. Give it a spin!

Never miss it

I really enjoy this show for getting the perspective of two players whose taste share a basis in classic music and a deep knowledge of older guitars and amps. Though I personally love virtuosic players and all of their widely spaced intervalic shredding, these guys bring a different type of guitar show than any other I listen to. It is nice to have a reference point that is not so much Yngwie, Vai, Satriani etc., as it is Mike Campbell, Tom Verlaine and maybe like Ry Cooder. My favorite episodes so far have been the one on the music master bass amp and the one on the CBS/Norlin era. Good humor, down to earth, all good stuff so keep it coming and thanks for the free education.
