12 Characteristics of a Godly Pastor
Rapp Report episode 289
This looks at twelve characteristics of a godly elder. An elder can be the best or worst thing for a church. A sinful or selfish elder is the church’s destruction. However, a godly elder is the church’s blessing. Most people would go to 1 Timothy 3:1-7 or Titus 1:10-16 for the qualifications of an elder, but we will look at different characteristics that Paul points out to Timothy throughout the books of 1 and 2 Timothy.

Rapport Rocks
I really appreciate the “What We Believe” series with Rapport and Osman. I was really looking forward to the Satan episode which briefly showed up and poof! Disappeared. I usually putter around the house doing chores while listening but often times, find myself sitting down and making notes that have helped clarified theology issues I didn’t understand. Keep up the good work!
A Darn Good Podcast!
I’ve only recently discovered this podcast and I am going back through old episodes to catch up...because I’m a glutton for punishment, obviously. Why else would I listen to episode after episode of these guys?! It simply cannot be because it’s really good; gosh, that should have been obvious.
It really IS that good. While I doubt that a hardcore agnostic would enjoy it those of us who have been adopted into the family of the LORD will find much, much, and much more to enjoy about this podcast.
And if you are in fact a hardcore agnostic, give this show a listen. Download a couple of episodes whose titles peak your interest and give it a try; you might just be pleasantly surprised.
Edit: WHY does it have to be Christ Alone? Because our LORD is a jealous God and He will not share His glory with others. If you could get into Heaven via good works you would be taking the glory from God.
Sola Deo Gloria.
Truly Reason-able faith
Really enjoy the faith and reason aspect of the podcast. I am discerning a new church home and am so happy to find useful podcasts like this to help me through the “weeds” of what Christianity has become in American culture.
