God Wants to Speak to You

God Wants to Speak to You

Pastor Whit begins our new teaching series, How to Hear God.
Hebrews 1v1-3 ESV 1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. 3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
1 John 1v1 NIV That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.
Luke 24v32 NIV They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”
John 10v27 ESV My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

    The Law of the Seed

    The Law of the Seed

Our Founding Pastor, Willie George, shares a message on the Law of Authority and the Law of the Seed.

    Genesis 1:26 KJV
And God said, “Let us make man in our image, after Our likeness; and let them have DOMINION…over all the earth…”

    Psalm 8:6 NKJV
“You made him have DOMINION over the works of Your hands; You put all things under his feet.”

    Matthew 8:9 NKJV
“For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me…”

Those who are submitted to authority are enabled to exercise authority.

    Mark 1:21-27 NKJV
21 Then they went into Capernaum and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught. 22 And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. 23 Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, 24 saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are – the Holy One of God!” 25 But Jesus rebuked him saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” 26 And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. 27 Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority, He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”

    Matthew 8:10 NKJV
“Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!”

    Genesis 1:29 KJV
And God said, “Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed (Hebrew – “seeding seed”), which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you, it shall be for meat.”

    Mark 4:3 KJV
“Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow…”

    Mark 1:26 KJV
And He said, “So is the kingdom of God as if a man should cast seed into the ground…”

    John 12:23-34 NKJV
23 “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified." 24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.”

    Genesis 3:14-15 NKJV
14 So the Lord God said to the serpent…
15 ”…I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.”

    2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

    Psalm 126:6 KJV
“He who goes out weeping, bearing precious seed…”
    “…shall doubtless come again…”

    Psalm 126:6 KJV
“...with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”

    2 Corinthians 9:7 KJV
“Every man according as he purposes in his heart, so let him give…”
“…not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver."

Easter 2024 | Enter by the Narrow Gate

Easter 2024 | Enter by the Narrow Gate

This weekend, Pastor Whit concluded our How to Be Human teaching series as we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ on Easter.

    Matthew 7:13-14, 24-29 ESV
13 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.” 28 And when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teaching, 29 for he was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.

    Matthew 13:44 ESV
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy, he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field."

    Matthew 16:24-25 ESV
24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it."

    John 15:5 ESV
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

How to Think About the Church

How to Think About the Church

Pastor Whit shares a message on how you can think about the church. Here are three of the main points from his message:

    • We believe the Church is a spiritual family, not a spiritual store.
    • We take the Bible seriously (and so should you!)
    • You will get out what you put in.

    God Gives Good Gifts

    God Gives Good Gifts

Pastor Casey continues through Jesus' teachings in His Sermon on the Mount in our current series, How To Be Human. This weekend, we talked about Matthew 7:7-11.

    Matthew 7:7-11 ESV
7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? 11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!"

Judge Not: How to Move from Condemnation to Compassion

Judge Not: How to Move from Condemnation to Compassion

Pastor Lee continues through Jesus' teachings in His Sermon on the Mount in our current series, How To Be Human. This weekend, we talked about judgment.

    Matthew 7:1-2 NIV
1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

    Matthew 7:3-5 NIV
3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. 6 “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

Pace Boy’s parents ,

We love Church on the Move!!!

We are very plugged into our church and have been for a long time. This year we decided to put our boys in Lincoln. We have listened to the sermons because we want to know what is being taught at the school and church. I have LOVED every sermon I have listened to Whit preach!! I am blessed, convicted, and changed by every single message!! I listen to them while I run! Sometimes I’m bawling during my run!! I look forward to every Monday catching up on the previous Sunday message! Keep fighting the fight, Whit!! We’re so very thankful for your leadership!!

Met the Real Jesus

I have been a long-time member of Church on The Move. Always love the sermons. I especially love hearing Whit!! In Fall of 2018, my Small Group decided to do the Real Jesus curriculum. At the conclusion, I met the real Jesus! And I’m still on fire over a year later!! I can only describe this as a true Spiritual awakening. No longer is He just a historical figure that saved me. He became real and personal. I shared this with Whit and he also met the real Jesus and can relate. I’m now serving every Sunday, attend First Wednesday, 21 days of Prayer, etc. What a difference He has made in me!! When at Church, it feels like I’m at a family reunion, which actually is true because we are all Gods family for ever and ever!! I love my church family!!! -Mike

Review

I absolutely love church on the move. There has not been one sermon or teaching that I haven’t gotten some sort of revelation from. I The Pastors style of teaching is very relatable. God is definitely speaking through this man. I hope to one day come visit this church. I live in AZ and would love to take a trip out to actually sit in on a service. No other Pastor has really drawn my attention to where the teaching translates immediately in mind mind other than my Pastor until I found church on the move!!!
