Be CinematNIC. Filmmaker Nicole Russin-McFarland discusses movies, movies and nothing but movies. The podcast’s intimate one-on-one format gets to the heart of the matter like a personal conversation over coffee with a good friend. NOTE: Episodes begin after a short ad and may contain mid-roll ad sponsorships. The explicit content label is only because PG-13 and R rated films will get discussed on the podcast at times, and a guest may drop an occasional bad word.

I posted my first Harry Potter film review on my website hours before J.K. Rowling ranted for the millionth time about trans people. Nevertheless, enjoy my reviews of each film and the marketing around them.

"Crimson Peak" Directed by Guillermo del Toro, Starring Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska & Jessica Chastain

I liked it as much, if not more, than Mr. Del Toro's "The Shape of Water."

New Friend

This podcast is like talking about movies with a friend. None of the yelling or over-the-top antics. I feel more mature listening calmly. Great show.

Friendly

Nicole respects her audience with a good blend of informative banter and joking around true to the show description like a friend. I came over from discovering her on the Haus of Film pod. No bloated music and filler air time, she dives into the reviews. Acting is a huge part of my life and hearing insights about how it is perceived helps me. Her pod is scaled back and hosted alone, a good thing after listening to too many sycophantic two host film podcast formats. Podcasts are something I can’t survive without and I will keep checking in on the CinematNIC Pod. A bit premature how an article online called her the female Tarantino but she does have his passion for film and it isn’t impossible someday I will say I discovered the new director defining a generation back when she had her first podcast. She does share Tarantino’s love of film but looks a lot better on a podcast show image.
