You like good wine? How about good movies? Cinemavino might be your jam! Travis Budd, Todd Wofford, and Taylor Owens get together for some grape-fueled discussion of the best, worst, and most meh-diocre movies ever made.
Mando on Brando
Better late than never! For this week’s Cinemavino, we take a look at the third and fourth episodes of The Mandalorian‘s second season. Next week, hopefully we’ll back into the normal swing of things.
As always, our podcast is NSFW, and listener discretion is advised. Enjoy!
For this week’s Cinemavino, we veer away from horror movies to check out a 90’s cult classic: Robert Redford’s hacker extravaganza Sneakers. It appeared at the dawn of Al Gore’s Internet, and it contains some oddly prescient observations about how much power will lie with information in this new era.
I couldn’t help but think about the current election debacle, and our country has been ripped apart by not only information, but all the disinformation around it.
Sneakers occasionally falls flat with some cornball humor and Ben Kingsley’s wandering American accent. But it’s mostly a fun little movie. And again, some its predictions are downright eerie.
A few small small spoilers lie within. And our podcast is NSFW. Listener discretion is advised.

The Mandalorian, S2 Ep 2
It’s extra. It’s special. It’s a bonus Cinemavino, featuring commentary on the second episode of The Mandalorian‘s second season. As always, Disney’s Star Wars epic is visually magnificent, although the story–and it’s contribution to the series arc–leaves a little to be desired.
This week finds us drinking a little bubbly in celebration…of, you know, the Star Wars franchise. Yeah, that’s it.
Anyway, as always, our podcast is NSFW, and listener discretion is advised. Enjoy!

The Revenge of Mike Myers
Welcome to another fine episode of Cinemavino! For this week’s episode, we take a look at the cult horror film Halloween III: Season of the Witch. It’s the first installment in that series to not feature Michael Myers, and that’s just one of many things that make it a strange little film. As always, we screen the film and offer a little commentary on it. Along the way, the boys and I enjoy a little Rogue Dead Guy ale, in addition to some delicious white wine.
As always, our pod is NSFW. Listener discretion is advised. Enjoy!

A little backstory on the episode title: Before we officially started rolling, Travis, Tay, and I engaged in a heart-melting rendition of “I Don’t Know Much (But I Know I Love You).” It got us thinking that our true calling may lie as a barbershop trio. Our names start with “T,” so we decided to call ourselves Trío, but roll that ‘r’ big time. Personally, I’m a fan of “The T Sharps”, but whatever.
Anyway, for this week’s Cinemavino, we screen a polarizing horror movie: Midsommar. When I saw it in theaters, I found it to be too off-putting to actually enjoy. It grew on me a little this time around, but I’m still not quite ready to recommend it.
This will also be our first full-blown video pod. A video link will be coming soon!
Also, my original review of the film is right here:
Welcome to another edition of Cinemavino! For this week’s episode, we return to the familiar format of screening a movie, pounding some wine, and offering gibberish commentary. This weeks offering: Peter Jackson’s jokey CGI scare-fest, The Frighteners. It has Michael J. Fox in his last live-action role to date, some surprisingly good special effects for their time, and a modestly entertaining storyline.
We also selected a Mourvedre from the Dirty and Rowdy winery. Kinda sums up our podcast, methinks. As always, our confab is NSFW. Listener discretion is advised. Also, some spoilers may be afoot.
Next week: A darker, more adulty horror flick.
