This project expanded Tilson's research methods for making artworks to include recording audio in cities, as well as collecting and finding objects, taking photographs and making films and video. The output from these urban wanderings have been made into books, films, websites, exhibitions and audio works. City Sounds of the Everyday includes recordings made in countries such as Japan, USA, India and Europe.

Great for concentration

The background noise helps me focus. And it’s pretty cool to be “transported” to work in London for a bit. Thanks for posting these.

Exactly what I was looking for

You’d be surprised how hard it is to find podcasts like this. Just clean, simple recordings of the white noise of every day life. Thanks for doing these. I’ll be looking forward to more.
