This Sunday, we had the honor of hearing from two incredible missionaries Dr. John Sweet and Coleman Bailey. Dr. John Sweet is the Executive Director of Heart of Florida Youth Ranch and a Field Consultant to orphanages and children’s ministries for Church of God World Missions.
Coleman Bailey provides humanitarian response and works with orphanages/children's homes throughout Africa and Eastern Europe. We were reminded of the importance of reaching those hurting, wounded, and in need. We pray that their stories further remind you to re-engage in missions and the heart of the house at citylife church.

Pastor Jason shares the “WHY” behind the “WHAT” we do here at CityLife Church, corporately and individually. Core values are the root beliefs that a person or organization operates from. These ten principles help govern us and help establish a healthy church culture. If the culture is healthy, amazing things can happen. 

Most of our progress in life is made up of many small steps. You might desire to move ahead by leaps and bounds, but that's not typically the reality. In today's message, we are encouraged to be patient and not lose hope. Wait on God. He knows exactly what is best for you, how and where it should come about, and the ideal time for accomplishing His will.

When we pray, do we ask for petitions instead of declaring who He is? Jesus has given us a model for coming to the Father and praying to him in Matthew 6:9-13. Pastor Tony shares how to go first in the posture of worship before checking off a list of requests and wants. In those moments, we can listen to God; He will reveal things about our past, present condition, and promising future. 

Pastor Ej shares a challenging message as we entered into a 10-day fast titled "What do you Expect." He uses 2 Kings 13:15-19 to illustrate God's will and plan for us over the next 10 days. What you put in is what you will get out. We will experience God's will when we give our full effort.
