Unprofessional “self help” podcast
The host made several claims lacking any sources and with it, lacking any validity in these claims. E.g., ep 26 she gave results of what I assume was some sort of study, without citing it and without giving the clear indication of the study’s purpose or conclusion. As a listener of podcasts, news, etc.; when I hear statistics without any mention of the source, it renders the information completely useless and leaves me with zero confidence in the purported claim.
Most importantly, to state to the listeners that “conventional doctors don’t have a clue in how to fix these things” is a reckless statement for a host discussing medical and other factors leading to obesity. While I believe an integrated approach including alternative treatments may work for some people, to advise people with illnesses NOT to go to an MD or DO because "they don’t have a clue" is quite a dangerous statement. To say this in a podcast an an absolute and to an unknown audience with different health statuses is extremely careless.
The podcast is one listed in the “self-help” category of iTunes, with the host a Master Hypnotist If providing any expert opinion, shouldn’t it be in the field she practices in, hypnosis? That and anecdotal advice on moving through life. But medical advice, claims, or truths does not seem appropriate.
