Insightful & Irreverent

You gotta love this podcast. Brett is the working person’s classical guitarist. Being a performer, composer and a teacher of all levels, he has his fingers on the pulse of the classical guitar world. Brett interviews provide deep insight of the biggest names in the business. His Michael Chapdelaine/ Segovia interview is pure gold and a reason why any guitarist should subscribe to this podcast. Along with the plethora of professionals as his interviewees, Brett’s personal musings of life in general are highly entertaining. What can I say, he is a true New Yorker with a microphone in front of him.

If you listen, you will not be disappointed.

Good guests, ok interviews

Sometimes it's refreshing to hear a down to earth discussion of the day to day realities of the working classical guitarist. The host strips away the pretension and academic veneer of the craft. I appreciate that.

I also appreciate the hard work he puts in to release the episodes so consistently over a long period of time.

And the guest list includes many top name guitarists and some new discoveries that I was happy to learn about.

However, it would be great if the guests could actually finish a sentence once in a while. After a few episodes we don't need to hear about the host's life anymore and want to learn something.
