Tonight’s guest is author Clayton Trutor. Clayton hales from Vermont and holds a Ph.D in U.S. History at Boston College. He presently teaches at Norwich University and is the state chairman of the Society of Baseball Research Vermont chapter. He has written several bios for SABR as well as articles and research topics for the society.

 

On February 1, 2022 his first book “Loserville: How Professional Sports remade Atlanta –and How Atlanta remade Professional Sports” was released.

 

And exactly
three weeks ago his second book “Boston Ball: Rick Pitino, Jim Calhoun, Gary Williams, and the Forgotten Cradle of Basketball Coaches” has just been released.

 

It is a brilliant examination how three future great NCAA men’s basketball coaches started on their path to greatness while coaching men’s basketball at Boston College and altered basketball tactics forever with their innovations.
