Customer Reviews
Love the show!
Listen to the podcast everyday while driving and thoroughly enjoy the show. The variety of guests on the show is great and Lawton does a fantastic job keeping the audience up to date on all things related to Clemson sports. Happy to support such a great show!
Tough listen, even for a Clemson fan
Host meanders and I assume he finds his diatribes interesting (or funny?), but they’re brutally boring and uninteresting. You just want him to get on topic and, when he finally does, he doesn’t stay long, chasing his own thought rabbit down a hole. On a recent show about Clemson’s ability to sustain its current success, it took him about 40 minutes to get on topic (wondering at one point if he got his friend’s high school coach’s name right) and, even after all that, he never set up the topic or provided insightful or possible challenges to Clemson’s run (the two obvious being Dabo leaving or a resurgent FSU). Instead, he stumbled over the term “mish mash”, asking “is the term ‘mis mash’”?
On top of this, it is a guy striving to be a “radio guy”, with cliche piled on cliche and tired phrases (“if you will”, “what have you” being two frequent favorites) that show a lack of breadth in his approach. The Clemson homerism doesn’t help his credibility.
My prescription fir what ails him would be a week or two in the studio with Mark Packer to learn how it’s done right. Until then, I can’t listen.
Misleading Name
This isn’t Clemson Sports talk, this is “Clemson Can’t Lose!” ra-ra bull without any legitimate sports discussion.
